I've been finding life a real struggle of late. It's why I've been so absent from O&M I didn't want to inflict my 'world' depression on you all.

More than once I've just walked away from my computer in disgust at how people can be so blind and so short sighted. I've found the internet to be very much on the toxic side.

The world is a mess and it's all our own doing yet everyone is passing the buck and the cycle looks never to be broken.

Today is Independence Day in the US whilst Obama talks about sanctions on Iran for being 'defiant' over building their first ever nuclear power station, something almost every other country has (not that I agree with Nuclear, I don't, but who are we to decide which country gets to have it and which country doesn't?)

France tested nuclear missiles under water against international protest and didn't even get so much as a slap on the wrist, but Iran want a power station to power Iranians home and Obama wants to place more sanctions on them.

America has gone to war for what seem's like its entire age of being, Iran however hasn't been to war in over a hundred years, yet here is Obama telling them they can't be trusted with uranium, the same country to be the only country to have ever dropped an A-bomb, twice. Am I the only one who sees what hypocrites we westerners are?

Then we have the BP oil spill with journalistic censorship now in place preventing proper cover of whats going on and even US police protecting the BP interest. Two people have already died in the clean up process with a fisher having taken his own life in shear despair, not to mention those that died in the original explosion.

In my own country we have a coalition government now already bickering over voting reform barely two months after gaining office, whilst having just dealt us a blow with a one sided budget very much at the detriment of the most poor and vulnerable of our society, pushing the gap further between rich and poor.

It's hard to find any comfort in life, any purpose to it all with all this going on and I've not even scratched the surface of just how bad it all is.

The poor feed the already fat rich and the powerful continue to oppress anyone who doesn't fall inline with their dictatorship all in the name of liberating them from the muslim beliefs and freeing them of their oil.

Whose the real 'axis of evil' here?

How does one find reason and purpose in all this?
