Welcome to the School of Oak and Mistletoe.
The Toward First Degree Teaching Program is an Outer Court training program for people seeking to learn about Inclusive Wicca and Spiritual Witchcraft and who want to work toward their First Degree in this tradition. Successful graduation results in the student being awarded the status of First Degree and probable admission to the Inner Court of Oak and Mistletoe depending on how well their program was completed. The program is fully interactive with student forums, chat room facilities, podcasted visualisations, video/audio or telephone conferencing with your tutor and a robust, eclectic program full of activities that teach you how to 'do' Inclusive Wicca, not just 'about' Wicca.
As part of the student registration process, you'll also get exclusive access to the student forums. In here you can chat with other students, share ideas, suggestions, thoughts, ask questions of each other and generally get to know your fellow students in a safe environment. It's a closed group, only for registered students, so there's no barging in from the general public. Your conversations are secure and confidential.
You'll also get exclusive access to our live chat room where you can real time chat with your tutor, with me and with your fellow students. Using this facility, we also hold online rituals, lesson tutorials, special events and so on.
We offer the first lesson absolutely free so you can get a clear picture of the top quality teaching we provide and how the tutor support program helps your learning journey. However, all websites cost money to operate and ours is no different so we ask that if you wish to continue with the rest of the course after lesson 1 and graduate to First Degree, that you support us by paying a website support fee of $20 AUS. The Toward First Degree training takes from eight months to about two years to complete so if you take a month to complete each lesson, it will cost you only $20.
If you remain with us and go on to do Second Degree and Third Degree training then we ask you for a website support fee of just $10 AUS each year after that for the time you remain with us. This small fee helps us pay for the forums, the chat room, hosting fees and all the other costs associated with keeping this site open for students but you don't need to pay it until after you finish lesson 1. Please note that once paid, your website support fee is not refundable if you choose to leave the program prior to graduation.
With that said if you're a paid member of our parent body, the Community Church of Inclusive Wicca Inc. (CCIWI), then you only pay half the website support fee with us here at Oak and Mistletoe! That means you only pay $10 for your first year with Oak and Mistletoe and only $5 per year after that for the time you remain with us as an active student or member and you still get all the same full access to all student privileges.
