Chairperson's Report to the AGM 2011
We also have approx. 160 forum members (who are not students and cannot see the school forums) and so we have a total of around 300 members for forum and lesson activity.
We now have tutors 6 tutors as well as myself and they are doing a fabulous job mentoring students through the O & M online lessons. Heartfelt thanks to the amazing Rev. Jamie Stone Bear, Rev. Saphira, Michelle, Mindmaze, Sage and Crystal.
We also have a steady and growing Second Life presence as well with regular meetings and sabbats held in the beautiful areas there. A massive congratulations and thanks go to Phoenix3 and Alistair for all the work they do there. The northern hemisphere SL group is beginning to take shape too so that’s great news! The fact that we now have SL reps on the oCC is testament to the value of this group.
We have approx. 13,000 page views each month from around 2000 visitors which is less than this time last year. However, at this time last year we were getting lots of “curious” visitors who came but didn’t stay long. Now we tend to attract folks who tend to stay with us longer.
We also have some new groups branching off from O & M in the coming year as those members graduate and develop their own covens. This is great news for us here at O & M as it means we are spreading our wings and allowing even more folks to experience our tradition. Congratulations to Rev. Jamie Stone Bear and Rev. Saphira in particular.
Our upcoming focus needs to be on updating the website and just steady as she goes this year.
Finally, I want to say a personal thankyou to the oCC members who have served this last year. The Council has been amazing and I would not have been able to keep the site going without them. In particular may I say a massive thanks to Rev. Jamie Stone Bear who without doubt has been a huge help this year. He is my rock so thank you Jamie from the depths of my heart.
