Oak and Mistletoe sponsors a little boy in Africa

As part of the generosity and commtiment to improving life that our amazing O & M members have and because of the beautiful suggestion and discussions earlier today in the forums, we have now sponsored a little boy called Morehope through World Vision. Morehope is three years old and lives in Zimbabwe which is one the poorest nations in Africa.

Due to the generous donations of our wonderful students, we have already enough money to sponsor him for the first year. Please, please help us keep this child safe and healthy by donating to his sponsorhip. If you click on the Donate button on the left of the website, I absolutley promise that 100% of the funds donated for him will be used only for his sponsorship.

At this point, we have 14 months sponsorship for him plus another month pledged. Of that, I have already paid the first month.

You rock people!!! :)

Morehope's official sponsorship packagae has arrived

Hi everyone,

in my mailbox today was the World Vision information pack about Morehope, Oak and Mistletoe's sponsored child. What a lovely little boy!

The instructions specifically forbid sponsors to post contact or identifying information about their sponsor children on websites so I cannot do that, nor email them to you all.

However, suffice to say that Morehope has three brothers and a sister, lives with his unemployed parents in a particularly poor part of Zimbabwe. he speaks Shona and will benefit from the help we are giving by receiving medicines, clean water and education when he's old enough to go to school.

We can send him letters and very small and inexpensive, flat gifts (stickers and so on) and if you'd like to write to him, please post it through to me and I will forward it according to the very strict  instructions in the sponsorship package. (Protects the sponsors from unsolicited pleas for money and ensures the letters get to him properly.)

World Vision will send us a birthday card to sign and send to him in time for his birthday in January and I will sign it from all of us with your permision.

I am so proud to be part of this wonderful group. You all inspire me so much!

With smiles and blessings,
Amethyst
