Merry Meet, everyone! Okay,

Merry Meet, everyone!

Okay, home from work now and am finding all the control knobs and turn signals quite interesting. I can't tell you how happy I was to be able to begin First Degree training (and so soon)! Made my whole day at work much more enjoyable.

I've been studying for a couple of months on my own from various books, but the structure of a course and the camaraderie to be found among like-minded folks is going to be well worth the pittance O&M wants as an offering in return. Thank you, Amethyst! Also love your YouTube videos! 

I have a hard copy of  Seeker's Guide To Learning Wicca: Training To First Degree In The Northern Hemisphere due to be delivered the day after tomorrow from Amazon. Being an Internet junkie for so long, and with being tethered to a computer for eight hours a day, a real book to study from is going to be a big help. Plus, I've just read that the book contains quite a bit of info that the online lessons don't have. Yes, I found the gas pedal called the lesson section. Hooray!

Any other Texans around these parts?

Welcome Vino Rojo, Glad to see that you are so excited, but then I also remeber when I started the 1st degree and can understand how you feel. Not sure if there are many Texans as members but you will find that we a spread all over the globe which at times feels like we are great distances apart and then other times it feels like we are all just next door to each other. It really is a wonderful community. So a big welcome and I hope you enjoy as much as I do. Love and light, Crystal

Thanks, Crystal! The book arrived yesterday but I also came down with the flu or something, so I haven't been able to even do much reading. Doesn't it always seem like when something good is about to come into your life, that something else conspires to ruin it all? At least with my mainly Christian background, that's the way it seems. I don't think that this phenomena can simply be chalked up to the law of return or a type of karma. I know Wiccans/Pagans don't believe in Satan, so I'm a little stumped about why this happens. Any ideas? Thanks again!
