Merry Meet, Thank you, it
Merry Meet,
Thank you, it is lovely to be here! I think it's really nice of you to post welcomes like this. I don't know about other people, but writing introduction posts is always something I struggle with so it's kind of comforting to have the conversation started already :)
I have been studying (and participating in) Wicca, Paganism and Witchcraft on my own for a very long time now, but there's still so much I don't know, and I am still uncertain which labels I should be using to define my own path and personal beliefs.
I've been lurking around this website for the last few days. O & M seems like a beautiful church. It's so awesome to see people in the Pagan community being so accepting of each other, and also stepping up to help the wider community.
Does O & M have a definition of Inclusive Wicca? I'm still a little fuzzy on the core beliefs and where the leniency is (compared to other traditions), but if I was going to guess, I would say something like; adhering to the Rede, observing the Wiccan Sabbats and full moons, and honouring the God and Goddess... But I don't want really to assume.
Blessed Be,
Katan
Welcome St Katan to our
Welcome St Katan to our little community,
i have been a member of O&M now for over three years and have loved every miniute of it for the same reasons you have already said.
as for having a definition of Inclusive Wicca, I would ask a question, are you a general member or are you starting the 1 st degree training. If you are doing 1st degree then the first few lessons looks at what is Inclusive Wicca and this will help you to definite it how you want to. And never be worried to post your thoughts or ideas on the forums, I have found it to be one of the best ways of learning. I my self had been walking the path of Wicca for nearly 10 years before finding O&M and I have learnt more in the past 3 years than I ever learnt on my own. And do not forget to plug your toutor with as many questions as you like.

It's nice to meet you,
It's nice to meet you, Crystal :)
I am seriously considering joining the 1st degree training. I have studied a lot of different Religions, and I've picked up a lot of meaningful things from all kinds of places. The down side to that is that I no longer fit in particularly well anywhere. I wasn't sure if I should jump right in (with the lessons) and see what happens, or if I should try to figure out if Inclusive Wicca will be compatable with the spiritual beliefs I already have before I begin. Do you think maybe it would be more appropriate if I began the first lesson and discussed these things with a tutor?
It sounds like you have a
It sounds like you have a good depth of knowledge and I think it is impressive that you are really thinking if Inclusinve Wicca is your path or not. It is my path and I love the structure that it has that I find fits me very well, but it is also not dogma if that makes sense. The structure fits my core beleifs and the rituals and clebrations that we do help me to live my life in a whay I never though possible.
Doing the 1st degree, especially the first 2 lessons whould probally help you a lot in working out if Inclusinve Wicca is your path, or if it is something else. If anything you will learn more.
Crystal
correct me if im wrong
im new as .. but i felt the way the lessons where set up was to do exactly that. there isnt even a fee payable untill lesson two. for me it was a no brainer..all gut lol . sabine
Isn't it just the most
Isn't it just the most beautiful thing when you find what feels right? I think I am probably overthinking things, lol.
Is it still okay for me to study other faiths while studying Inclusive Wicca? I know most Religions are really strict about not doing that...
