The Wiccan Rede

Does anyone else have trouble with some of the wording of the Wiccan Rede?  It's a really beautiful poem,

but some of the wording escapes me. "When the Lady's moon is new, kiss the hand to her times 2"  What

is that saying?  And another line "Where the rippling waters go, cast a stone the truth you'll know"  Does

that mean you can throw a stone in the stream and get wisdom from it?  I'd love to be able to read the

whole poem through and comprehend it as well.

The Rede

Hi :)

Juneberrywine posted some great questions about the Rede which were just fabulous and helped so many of us understand how we all interpret it.  I wish I had the time to look for those threads some more to direct you to them but I have no pc of my own at the moment and quickly popping in whilst at work.......   I hope you can find some of them, they are really good responses and helped me a great deal as well :)

Rede

If you enter "cast a stone" into the search box at the top right of the page, it will bring up a list of posts.  You will find some posts about the Rede there. If you enter "Rede" it will bring up more of the posts about other lines in the Rede too.

Cast a Stone

Thank you so much!  Yes, I found the sections I needed.  So much interesting information - I loved reading it all, and it really made me understand much better.  I am not familiar with forums very much, and seem to be having a bit of trouble navigating around this one.  Thanks again!

Catmom, I need to thank you

Catmom, I need to thank you for writing this post to begin with. I was pondering the same thing, and due to the above responses to your question, I too was able to read through everyone's previous posts (mostly questions posed by the ever so wonderful JBW!! THANK YOU JuneBerryWine!!!!!), and also seek out answers!

So great to find like-minded folk!!!

BIG SMILES TO YOU!!!
