I've been a little absent from O&M of late and not by choice, though I accept that it's the divines will.

I was very low and I could feel my self getting worse so I took some time out and spent time with my mum. She her self is very unwell and remains ill without a diagnoses.

So I felt it would be good for the both of us to spend some time together. I only meant to visit the one day and ended up staying a few nights.

The morning after my first night in my own bed I instantly felt a sore throat, by the end of the day I had a full blown cold. Clearly I was more run down than I thought.

So for the last 2-3 weeks I've been generally under the weather and getting worse by the day. I've spent much of the last week not moving much from my bed. The cold began as a head cold and very swiftly moved to my chest, with any exertion making me out of breath and wheezy.

This, then is the reason for my absence. I would very much appreciate the lighting of a candle and thoughts of me in your prayers.
