beautiful night out there tonight

Gareth and i went for a late night walk tonight, and after a 30 degree day it was nice to feel a cool breeze. On the way i saw the first spider of spring, lol it was HUGE! Seriously, it was the biggest i've seen in so long, and it was all creepy and gross :P. There was only one cloud in the sky tonight and it was pretty and orangey and wispy, and had stars in the holes in it, so it was really really pretty. We ended up walking to Macca's, heheh it was very naughty but soooo nice. On the way back we smelt some smoke and ash was flying everywhere, so i'm guessing someone lit a fire nearby. The wind picked up heaps on the way back, so if there is a fire, it may be hard to put out. It's hardly even spring and already we have 30 degree days and someone's stupid enough to light a fire, they have no respect for nature and other humans. People who do that kinda thing get on my nerves...grrr.... hehehe, oh well, guess i can't really do much about it, so best move on.

I did some yoga today for the first time, it was pretty interesting, my muscles hurt now so i believe i may have tried something that is too advanced for my body, i haven't exercised in over 9 months..naughty me :P So i am starting a daily to-do list, starting with a 10 minute yoga, 15 min meditation and a sit in the sun, i was told that these things when done regulary can help if not cure depression.

Anyway time to go to bed.

blessings to all

Sammi

Yes, I recall hearing

Yes, I recall hearing something about the sun stimulating the brain and helping with depression. I feel that is what saved me. Being outside.Working in the gardens. Sitting under the trees(don't laugh, I talk to the trees) Even in the winter or rain I'll go.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful night out.

Dearest Sammi

I too recently have started a new exercise program. And started with a morning walk, I am blessed to live next to a beautiful mangrove forest around a river where the local council has built a series of walkways that zig zag through the whole area. I have always been fascinated by Australian birds and I had the piviledge of seeing pelicans catching fish, herrons, and crimson lorikeets.

I can atest that depression can most definately be helped with regular exercise and meditation. Good on you for taking on the responsibility of helping yourself!! I send you much love and energy and will include you in my nightly meditations for the lifting of your mood. Other things that have been proven by western science to assist with depression is a multi B vitamin and Fish oil (but it needs to be at least six tablets a day in the scientific papers I have read). Apparrently orange essential oil is also helpful. In the tradition that I have studied in, meditating on the Tarot card of the Fool is also helpful for depression.

I wish you well. I had to laugh at your reaction to the spider. I adore spiders and have a tarranula as a pet. Don't worry I won't send you photos.

In Love and Light

David
