This is a poem a dear author friend wrote and emailed me recently, I just felt the need to share it with you all..

Would we know day

If we did not see night

Would we know black?

If there was not white

Would we know good?

If there was not bad

Would know tears

If there was not sad

Would we know life?

If there was not death

Would we know freedom?

If there was not a breath

Would we know love?

If there was not a heart

Would we know what to do?

If there was not a start

Would we know how to live?

If there was not a soul

Would we know time?

If we did not grow old

Would we know heaven?

If there was not hell

Would we know how to speak?

If there was no tongue to tell

Would we know the glory?

Of each and every day

Would we only know regret?

When time has slipped away

Would we know how to live life right?

If there was not sin

Would we answer to the call?

That comes from deep within.
