We Don’t Just ‘Do’ Magick, We ‘Are’ Magick
Usually when thinking about magick, we talk about how we ‘do’ magick but I believe we actually ‘are’ magick. Let me explain.
For me, magick is a universal energy which is within us, around us, which is us, which is everything, that everything actually is. Magick is that energy, or rather the use of that energy, to bring about an end result.. Physics tells us that energy never stops, never disappears, it just changes form. You can’t switch energy off and you can’t switch it on because it’s a constant. It may change form from liquid to gas and to solid but it also changes form from thought to action or behaviour and outcome which in turn changes to more thought and different behaviour. Energy then just ‘is’.
Stick with me as I change tack here. We usually see our own bodies as solid objects. You can’t push your hand through your belly like can slice it through the air! But here’s the strange thing. Our bodies are actually energy rather than just solid objects. If we could look at our body under a huge microscope, what we’d find as we get to deeper magnifications is that our body is made up of organs, which in turn is made up of cells, which in turn is made up of atoms and so on. When you look at atoms under those massive microscopes you see that they’re actually just energy, that’s all they are. Atoms are vibrating energies with the neutrons and protons chasing round each other just exhibiting energy, that’s it. Quantum physics identifies cells as simple the shells of continuous energy.
So if we think outside the usual square we’ve been told to think in for just one moment, rather than being what we thought of as solid objects, our bodies are actually pure energy. What’s more, so is that tree outside or the fish swimming in the sea or the smoke rising from the chimney. All those things, all that we considered to be just solid objects are in fact pure vibrating, never ending, form changing energy and if we know that magick is just the use of energy and that our bodies are pure energy, then we don’t just ‘do’ magick, we ‘are’ magick. Fascinating thought isn’t it?
